Thank you to our Sligo MS students, administration, and community for supporting our Sligo MS PTSA at our annual Fitness Fun Day! While the weather was cool and breezy, we not only had a terrific event with the students, we made our fundraising goal!! Special thanks to Kate O’Sullivan, the Sligo MS PTSA VP – Fundraising and the Fitness Fun Day committee. Without Kate’s meticulous planning, persistence, and commitment, Fitness Fun Day would not have happened. Kate led our wonderful & generous army of volunteers (more than 50!) through our successful Fitness Fun Day 2021.
Thank You ALL!

Our uber creative Sligo student artists really generated incredible designs for this contest. Our first place winner’s design will be printed on the 2021 Sligo Fitness Fun Day T-shirts. That is 800+ shirts y’all! Congratulations to all of the fabulous artists.
PTSA is delighted to bring back this annual tradition, one of the signature events of the year. Fitness Fun Day is a school-wide event that promotes fitness and school spirit and raises funds for critical school programs. All students will participate in their PE and health classes, with a choice of running, soccer, dance, and basketball activities. The grade with the highest score at the end of the day wins. The event takes place outside, behind the school. Family members volunteer to run the activities.
We need your help to make Fitness Fun Day great for our kids!
Fitness Fun Day, coming up on November 19, is Sligo PTSA’s biggest fundraiser, and it’s also a wonderful chance for our kids to have fun outside with their classmates. But it can’t happen without you: we need parents to sign up to volunteer to help during the event. The jobs are small, but your impact will be huge. Students will rotate between different fitness stations (basketball, soccer, running and dance). We need parents to help keep track of participation and simply spend time exercising with and encouraging the students. We promise, it’s a fun volunteer gig! Sign up today! https://www.signupgenius.com/go/30e094ea4ab29a4fd0-volunteers
