S’TEAM Sligo is an after school and summer camp enrichment opportunity funded by a grant from Trawick Foundation in which 30 selected 6th and 7th graders learn about science, technology, engineering, arts, and math while focusing on a theme. They invest 90-100 SSL hours over a period of nine months, with all their efforts culminating in the S’TEAM Sligo Community Day Festival in October 2016.
The S’TEAM Sligo grant committee is currently recruiting a first draft of students for this year’s S’TEAM Sligo program. Sligo Middle School staff
have recommended over 150 students based on student need and interest, among other important factors. Those students and their families should already have received a letter in the mail inviting them to attend the S’TEAM Sligo Family Information Night on Monday, October 26, from 6:30 – 8:30pm in the media center.
There will be a light dinner and presentations on the program and selection process. Child care is available. Upon receipt of an invitation, please RSVP to Ms. Campo-Abdoun, S’TEAM Sligo Site Coordinator, firstname.lastname@example.org.
Please contact Ms. Campo-Abdoun if you have any questions.
